GVU Community Participates and is Honored @ CHI 2007
Several members of the GVU community are participants and two are honored at CHI 2007. Scheduled April 28 - May 3 in San Jose, California, CHI is the premier conference on human factors in computing systems.
James Foley, Stephen Fleming Chair in Telecommunications at Georgia Tech and former GVU Director, is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award. He gives a talk, "Human-Centered Computing Education - What We Teach, How We Teach - Looking Back, Looking Ahead" on Wed., May 2 at 9 a.m. during the conference.
Gregory Abowd, College of Computing professor at Georgia Tech, is the recipient of the Social Impact Award. He gives a talk, "Using Computing Technologies to Face the Challenges of Autism," on Thurs., May 3 at 11:30 a.m. also during the conference.
