2. Do you have WWW statistics on...(something not in the survey)?
3. Were any GVU WWW surveys published after 1998?
4. Can you send me information on GVU admissions?
5. How do I view a GVU Technical Report?
6. When I try to download a technical report, the ftp server says "access denied". What's wrong?

1) How do I get a GVU travel grant?
The FAQ for travel grants can be found here.

2) Do you have WWW statistics on... (something not in the survey)?

If you don't see a topic in our survey report, then we don't have any statistics on the topic.

3) Were any GVU WWW surveys published after 1998?

No. The tenth survey published in October 1998 was the last survey. Unfortunately, the surveys ended when the students who conducted them graduated from Georgia Tech.

4) Can you send me information on GVU admissions?

GVU itself is not an academic unit that awards degrees. Instead it is a research center comprised of many participating academic units around campus. Other than the Master's Degree in HCI program, you can find Georgia Tech graduate admissions information at the following URL: http://www.gradadmiss.gatech.edu/

To participate in the GVU Center, you will need to apply to an academic unit which will be your home department. GVU affiliated departments and faculty can be found here.

5) How do I view a GVU Technical Report?

The GVU Tech Reports are papers published by researchers associated with the Center. We provide an archive of these documents as a public service to the academic community. Please note that some of the older electronic versions may be missing figures which were cut and pasted into the hardcopy reports.

All of the GVU Tech Reports have been moved to SmarTech. You can still access them at: http://smartech.gatech.edu/handle/1853/49

If you have a report you would like to add, please contact Sean Brennan at sean (at) cc.gatech.edu

6) When I try to download a technical report, the ftp server says "access denied". What's wrong?

You are probably being denied access to our FTP server (ftp.cc.gatech.edu) due to security reasons. We don't allow connections from remote systems that don't have complete DNS (Domain Naming System or host name look up system) records on their name server. We can confirm this if you can tell us the fully qualified name or IP number of the system you are browsing from and the time you attempted the download. For example, "mysystem.cc.gatech.edu" would be a fully qualified hostname and "130.207.3.99" would be an IP address.
